Description
Lions can be found on English heraldry and in sculptures as a symbol of national heritage. Four lions are stand guard at the base of Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square. If you walk past Number 10 Downing Street, you will spot a Lion head brass door knocker; these are often found on traditional Georgian Townhouses. This set of four wall lights are original Regency hand-carved ebonized gilt wood. The circular lions feature wonderfully detailed faces and retain their original gilding. Each with two arms recently electrified and re-wired to take SES/E14 candle bulbs.
This piece has been restored and fully rewired by our skilled technicians.
